DON’T FAIL THE COURSE
Developer, Level and UI designer
Don’t fail the course is a 2.5 pixel dungeon crawler game set in a high school. Complete challenges, fights and puzzles within the different classes in order to get stronger and reach the final exam!
In this project, I worked on the level and UI design, working with the team to develop the flow and overall game mechanics. Along with designing the UI, I also programmed the UI’s functionality within the game.
HOME (a VR experience)
Creative Director
HOME (Hall of Mental-Health Experiences) is a VR museum experience that explores five different mental illnesses: OCD, PTSD, DPDR, Panic Disorder, and Schizophrenia. HOME seeks to unveil the stigmas of mental illness by providing a simulated experience of them.
Our core objective is to create an experience for people to understand mental illness better. HOME is about sharing the experience of someone struggling with mental illness whom you do not know but hopefully will understand. The project seeks to offer accurate experiences to foster a greater sense of compassion and understanding. We want to be able to generate empathy through vivid virtual reality experiences. We want to create a project to spur a broader conversation about mental health, which is not talked about enough.
As Creative Director, I lead the creative vision of the project. Through liaison with all 5 departments (Design, Art, Sound, Development, and Marketing), I ensured the project was cohesive and that each part of the puzzle effectively contributed to the final product. Specifically, I lent my knowledge in experiential design and VR design considerations to guide the experience flows.
